It seems that Acer is pretty upbeat with their quest to unseat Dell to become the world’s number 2 PC maker. According to their spokesperson, the non-US company is determine to produce more netbooks for the market as well as other PCs such as desktops and laptops with the intention of becoming the world’s second largest PC producer.
Of course, Acer’s approach on their quest to unseat Dell is through low-cost yet stylish laptops and netbooks. On the other hand, they also want to practice Dell’s lean inventory business style with hopes of retail partnerships with large retailers in Europe.
I believe that it will be an uphill battle for Acer as clearly the market isn’t really that fit to consume so much computing device at one go.
