We all know that Cisco is one of the largest players in the networking industry. However, according to certain sources, it seems Cisco is scaling down their investment over the WiMAX technology, whereby the organization is gradually pulling the plug over their efforts to develop more electronics for the WiMAX technology.
Generally, Cisco made a huge acquisition in 2007, whereby they have acquired Navini Networks, in order to tap into their technology and other expertise in developing technologies for the WiMAX network. And with Cisco scaling down their investments, I’m pretty sure that the 4G network might be somewhat dominated by other industry players in the market.
